It's been awhile hasn't it?

Lets just summarize the past few weeks of my absence

1) I studied like hell for my exams. HELL.

2) I ate oat crunch biscuts everyday

3) My results are pretty good

4) Halloween party tomorrow

EXAMS

1) I'm still having exams right now. Checkpoint, but its supposedly not important. BUT IT WAS HARD. It is said that usually math isn't hard, but ENGLISH && SCIENCE. Thoes are killers. I was clueless about science, they were asking me things I've never learnt/ things I learnt a century ago. nice. So, yes, when the results come out, hopefully people wont think I have the IQ of a snail.

OAT CRUNCH BISCUTS

These things are incredibly addictive! So yummo! I ate them for an entire week due to exams. I would just take a whole packet of em and much on it while I was studying. I even skipped breakfast sometimes and brought these amazing cookies to school. aah, but now I've finished them. all.

Firstly, why would I stick my nose inside a toaster? ITS A TOASTER. To pre smell the bread if its toasted enough? So then IF i stuck my nose inside the toaster ( god forbid) my nose would probably get burnt off, therefore I would bleed to death. Well that kinda sucks considering my nose is probably the only good feature of my face. OR, I could possibly get electrocuted once I have stupidly stuck my nose into the toaster and then I am unable to get it out. My body is a good conductor of electricity! (;

And another thing, WHY 29? I haven't even lived half my life yet and I get killed by a toaster.

The stupid way that I will die from is sticking my tounge into the lawn mower, aside from the fact that I am thinking the most gruesome, sick possibilities of me dying that way, IT IS MORE STUPID THAT STICKING MY NOSE INTO THE TOASTER

Wow, I just realized something. I am a die hard winner at anything I do. I supposed I realized it at math tuition today, I know its just tuition, nothing special, insignificant. But there's just this raging uncontrollable feeling inside me that wants to get it right, everything right. want's to feel that splash of satisfaction. And think,

I'm smart. MUAHAHAHAHAHA.

Although I suck at math.

The amount of pressure building up, when I do a math exercise. The tension in my fingers stiffens me. My tutor eyes me, like a the watchful eyes of a hawk. The pen in my grasp, quivering disecreetly. A thousand thoughts rushing through my mind ; Is this right? Is this how you do it? What if it's wrong? What will be his reaction if he notices? What if? What if?

(That's right, So now you know what I'm thinking most of the time, and that my brain is just filled with questions that lack substance.)

My eyes rivert, from side to side, check once, check twice, across the book. Did I copy the question correctly? Okay, I think I'm good to go. I Think, but I'm not sure. I could be right. Yet I could be wrong.

I look up at my tutor. his beady, expressionless eyes scan my work. After what seemd like an eternity, a slight nod of approval was shown. And relief floods through me, I then continue life happily (:

Some people may lable as a Kiasu person. But I don't think of it that way, I think.. more like a person who cares about her studies/ make sure she excels in it. IMMA NOT KIASU DOUCHES.

So, I haven't gone out with my friends/ classmates for sometime, some of you may call me a hermit that lives underneath a rock, or just a very unsociable person.

Today was so epic.

Hello people,
Just arrived in Boston yesterday ( went for dinner then fell asleep) , Unfortunately I have no pictures now, their all in my dslr and I'm too lazy to upload it now. But I shall do it tomorrow.

From NYC we took the train to Boston ( which was a 4 hours journey)and it was SURPRISINGLY luxurious. Seriously, there was a cafe in the train. And time passed so fast.. or maybe it was because I was playing Feeding frenzy for 4 hours straight.

Boston is quite different from NYC. Its by the harbour. ANDD, I had clam chowder at this really awesome restaurant that served obama clam chowder. SO we were eating clam chowder obama was eating!!

My mother took the one that was lighter though ( less creamy)

Brother: Yerr, what are you eating
Mom: its a less creamier version of the clam chowder
Brother: yerr, but obama doesn't eat that!!

Anyways, next to the restaurant was the bay. where the BOSTON TEA PARTY happened!
For all you year 9's who pay attention in history class i'm sure you all know what that is

( No, it is not actually a tea party)

It was when the Boston people were protesting against the British because of tax raise. So an act of protest was, they dumped a shipload of tea into the harbour
(shit i hope i got that right or it will be really embarrassing for me, well its something like that)

I never really understood why dumping tea was so bad. But now i do!

While we were in Rockwell we went to this shop called ANTHROPOLOGIE. and it is beyond awesome. It sells all sorts of clothes and aside from that they have loads of sculptures in the storeBird thing made out of plastic forks ZOOMS.

For example, today, I used the subway. ( for those of you who have the IQ of a snail, the subway is a really cheap downtown ish train station ) And I think its really freaky.
Cause its really dark, well it is sort of lighted, but it is still dark.

SO, today my sister , cousin and I wanted to explore the downtown side of Manhattan, so we used . TADAH. SUUUBBWAYYYYY. And there were so many problems, we didn't know which train, which station to get off, blah blah blah.

And the people there were really nice when we asked for directions , it was actually quite funny
Imagine a scenario where your sitting on a train, and you ask the lady in front of you where Broadway 32 is.

Then she'll say something..blah blah blah,
Then the guy next will join in the conversation and say something like " no nooo, the faster was is.."

Then the guy at a corner who you thought was focusing on reading a book suddenly looks up and says, " what? that's not right! If you want to go to .." So yea it was quite funny.

ANOTHER THING I LEARNED.
Ballet flops. ARE HORRIBLE FOR WALKING LONG DISTANCES. believe me . I've learned it the hard way with huge blisters on my FOOT. Or maybe its just that my shoes are just to tight, but after an hour of working, every step i took was torture, people were probably wondering if i were disabled because i was actually limping. Even when I was at the store, and I saw this really pretty dress, i wanted to reach out to it.. but. nope. couldn't reach it cause my feet hurt and my arm wasn't long enough.

So i've landed in new york ( finally)
okay i have to admit. The flight was pretty horrible. I had the middle seat. which everyone know it is the worse seat :P ( ECONOMY )

ANDDD. all this time, it hough tht i would be transitting through germany. I AM SO RETARDED. It wasn't Germany, it was Stockholm. ( which is in Sweden)
I didn't have the chance to explore Sweden ( just stuck int he airport)

Here's how the flight time went

Kuching-KL (1: 45 minutes)

KL- Stockholm, SWEDEN ( transition 2 hours, 10 hours flight)

Sweden- New York, USA. ( 1 hour transition, 8 hours flight)

( the airport was bad.. the imigration part.. we were there for 2 hours)

But I am well and alive. A little hungry but alive :)
Right now, I'm staying at a hotel near Brooklyn ( i'm obviously not a millionaire who can afford to stay int he elite parts of Manhattan.)

Right now its about 5 in the morning, after this I am going back to sleep and later..
My shopping fetish shall dominate me. New York city is pretty amazing ( okay its very amazing)
Right now if i look out my window all i see are buildings, towering above me, skyscrapers touching the sky.

And if your wondering whether I have had the chance to visit the Statue of Liberty the answer is No. Because I hear that its closed at the moment because of the fear that it will be attacked by terrorists.

BUT, i have seen it, when i was driving to Manhattan. Its at the harbours, green and tall.( p.s The statue of liberty was a gift from the french when U.S gained their independence, they did it so that they could make friends with the U/S, i learned it during history. ALSO, i think it used to be brown but after the years of rusting it became green. I guess that's hat happens to copper when it oxidises)

Anyway, I know its really retarded but I really REALLY pray to god, that I'll see Leighton meester walking around. OH GOD PLEASE. I will run across a four way street and then run up to her and ask for her autograph.

I'm currently waiting for my transition to U.S
(actually I'll be transiting through Germany first then to U.S)
At the mean time I'm pretty much.. falling asleep?

Anyways, I always have a phobia, of flying. Hey I'm a pretty good air traveller, I can do 20 hours on the plane without puking ( obviously giddy but, you've got to admit that's pretty amazing )
Well whenever I go to forgein countries I always have this fear.. that the plane will be hijacked. Or there'll be some suicide bomber on board. I know.. its far fetched. BUT IT DOES HAPPEN. and what if it happens... later!? what THEN? i cant FLY. ( i wished i could but you and i both know that i cant )

And I also have a paranoia of the plane falling.
Imagine the plane, flying ever so peacefully.. then

100 feet .. and i'll be screaming me head off. ugh.

Short update*

Hello people. Still working on the volcano project, I've stuck SO MANY little rocks/ big rocks on to it, until its so heavy :( So, Yesterday morning went over to Melvin's house to get started on the VOLCANO :D. IT WAS SO BIGGGG . There were two houses in his compound, and my driver was like,
WHICH house? got TWO!!

Swimming pool. There were loads of rocks there. The thing I found really funny that day was when Michael woke upa nd he came down stairs he was like, EH, wtf are you guys doing here!? And then Kim Tay walked by and he was like, ' HUH? why you also here!?' at 10 a.m in the morning. Then he waked away, 'ai si, so paiseh la,' ( CAUSE, he was still in his pjs) :P

Today ( or yesterday, whatever) , I achieved second in a speech contest that I worked my ass of in ( for the second year). UNFAIR. Now i feel like a complete loser because everything i do, i am ALWAYS second. ( eg: second place in class, second in gavel post, second in speech, I AM EVEN BORN ON THE SECOND of november) .. I lost to Serena. And I just realized I have to finish up all my assignment before I leave for the U.S. So you can imagine I'm pretty stressed out here. And today I just screwed up my math test. FML

So, it was Sam's birthday yesterday and I just came back from her house, feeling so groggy after staying the night over. ANYWAYS, for Sam's birthday we do what Samloves the most ( besides eating ) shopping :) but before that, during school, Bren, Syaf, Me, Booby & Serena, bought her this chocolate cake. AND IT WAS SO HARD TO LURE HER INTO THE ENGLISH ROOM, because from time to time, I would have discuss with booby how we could get sam into the English room

And then Sam started getting suspicious, and when sammie kept asking us what we were talking about, we gave her a deluded story about how we know what she did.

Take not: this fml makes me sound like I'm a deluded, crazy, unstable, rebellious teen, believe me, i am not, I just write like one.

Today, I have a 6 minute speech to write, for the contest, which i haven't even memorized, besides that i think that it is so morbid, people may fall asleep, I also have sets of MATH to do, but I obviously have no time to do it, did i mention that my piano exam is coming up soon? and if I fail it there is a huge possibility that i will have to suffer the embarrassment of retaking Grade 7 next year. which would make me a failure. Not that i don't ALREADY feel like a failure, but by retaking the Grade 7 exam would confirm that I AM a failure... after all, i just FAILED IT. Aside from that, my best friends birthday is this Friday, and i feel stressed that i haven't had the time to go out and buy her something nice just to let her know that i remembered her birthday. Sorry sam, I hope you don't mind a late birthday present. As if things aren't bad enough there's been this particular teacher that has been trying to make my life more miserable on purpose. Hello peepawls. I've finally being allowed to go online, but just for awhile ( cause I'm not allowed to go online during weekdays ) Well, there are a bunch of things that happened during these past few days.

( We got to see how we did for our second term, I finally reached my goal in average , 83.4 , it may not be a lot to some smart ass people, but its damn hard to get an A average cause you'll have to sacrifice all your sleeping time to study, unless your born a genius, and since I am not some Kid Genius, i have to do that )

okay. RANT.
( just so you know, I'm not directing nor targeting anyone)

Well a day ago we had this Talk ( with a capital 'T' ) from this Filipino woman how came to our school to talk to us about sex. or something like that. Firstly, I just thought that everything sh said was really cliche ( no offence of course ) , everything that i expected her to say, she said it all. Nothing out of the ordinary or had hitting.

Secondly, I get a tad bit peeved sometimes ( and at rare times infuriated) when this comes up. Christianity. ( i thought were not supposed to touch on religion? ) i Its not like i have anything against it, i might even become a christian when i'm older, but the speaker went on about how the Bible says that we cannot have pre marital sex and because of Christ and stuff. But what about the rest of us? What about those who AREN'T Christians? Like me for example, how can i relate to this? (i'm a free thinker btw) I just found it unfair, so is she only talking to the Christian's in our school? What about the rest of us? Or maybe i misunderstood but I'm pretty sure that's what i heard.

But at the same time, I kind of pitied this lady, because she seemed to be putting in so much effort, and after telling us how WRONG pre marital sex is ,and she asks is, " SO, do you still want to have sex before marriage?" Sadly, practically the whole crowd answered in a rather unsure 'yes' ( sort of like, teasing her) and after a few more times with the same question being asked and the same answer being thrown back, i guess she gave up and just said that we were probably 'just kidding'. LOL.

And at the last part of this whole talk thing, I never really understood, she said that if we didnt want to have pre marital sex, we should stand up and vow. And she told us that, vowing was a very SERIOUS thing to do, so we have to make sure that we dont break it.

Until the all the members of the prefectorial board stood up. I heard from a lot of people that the teachers had to go around asking the students to stand up. I thought it was a very.. noble thing for them to do.

That i couldn't understand. ( TO SOME OF YOU OUT THERE ) Shouldn't it be our choice whether we want to stand up and vow or not? Since its so serious, we should be given the choice. Shouldn't it be our choice if we believe that pre marital sex is not wrong, or we dont take a side? Shouldn't we at least been given the right to stand by our beliefs? I'm not saying that they actually jabbed a gun onto or head and forced us, but in my opinion, Some of the people next to me were doing it indirectly.

Because some of us didn't want to stand up, and people gave us 'the look'. a sort of, 'wtf your going to have SEX before your married look you whore, MY GAWD, your just asking for aids' look. So it was kinda pushing us to do something we dont want to, cause not all of us are super UNpaiseh. And i have to say that its kinda humiliating to be sitting down when everyone is standing up ( not to mention awkward).

Just because some of us were sitting doesn't mean you have to stereotype us in a way that you think that we were 'sex crazy weirdo's who want to have pre marital sex' ( BELIEVE ME, some people are so narrow minded that they think that way) There are other reasons you know, maybe some of us arent comfortable with making a promise. What if we cant keep it? What if we get drunk and have sex or someone rapes us? Thats still counted as having sex isn't it? Or maybe we dont think that pre marital sex is wrong nor right, were just neutral, at least respect that right? So, on Friday I went out with Sams. TO WATCH THE ULTIMATE MOVIE OF THE CENTURY (or rather year, but century sounds much more impressive)

HARRY POTTER!

MUAHAHA. Let me tell you, the cinema was jammed pack, when Sam and I went in we were like, WHOA. It was so bloody crowded! I think its the first time I've seen our little Star Ciniplex having such an overflow. So Sam and I got pretty paranoid, what if there were no more seats left? We had been making plans for AGES ( okay fine, just two weeks, but two weeks is pretty long okay)

So it was like. YOU GET THE POPCORN , I'LL GET THE TICKETS. AND I SHALL MEET YOU HERE. OKAY? OKAY. So there was this amazingly long line fr the ticket counter, and I felt so annoyed at this family who took an excruciating period of time to choose their seats. HELLO? there were hardly ANY seats left, HOW HARD COULD IT BE TO CHOOSE THE SEATS??

Al of us here... waiting for the magical wonder of the movie of harry potter to begin :D

Unsurprisingly we got the shittiest seat in the entire cinema ( right at the front, and in the middle, my neck still hurts untill now, but it was worth the torture!) There were even a bunch of kids that sat on the floor ( no idea how they got in though)

But it was so amazing!! :D i loved it, though there were some parts that were pretty freaky

Ways to make movies more enjoyable:

1) Should have advertisments, (like a sudden kfc / McD ad ) in the middle of the movie, so that people like us, can rush to the toilet, like sam said, we do not have bladders of steel.

2) Important Movie of the Year Movies liek Harry Potter should have popcorn served inside the hall so we dont hae to move our asses.

3) there should also be waiters ( eg. there should be a button ont he handle of the chair so we can press when we want the service of the waiter and the button shall.. i dont know, alert the waiters pager, if waiters even have pagers and then the waiter can take our order because we are way t engrossed in the movie to give a damn)

Well exam results are back, and there's always that big disappointment during that period of time.

you've guessed it. It's the revenge of Math

Arguably, math has always been my weakest subject. the only subject that i had to go an extra mile for ( or more like 1000 extra miles) than all the other subjects. I have always struggled through the Math Climb. As Syaf and i refer to.
That were climbing a mountain, and at the peak is Serena, ( who once again, without fail, scored a 91 for math this term ) while we're barely progressing and are still at the foot of the mountain, clawing our way through ( unsucessfully).

And after my overdose of math tuition, ( about 5 times a week ) it is FINALLY getting ~~just a teeny weeny bit~~ better.

Okay i know father's day was weeks ago, bt i had totally forgotten to blog about it. Well it was nothing special, we had brunch at Hilton since there was some good discount. But the food was quite bad, or maybe cause we came at the wrog time when there were only scraps of leftovers to feast.
See what i mean? there were just bits and pieces from the chicken. And dont understand, is there some unwritten known fact that Chinese do not like to eat Chicken breast meat because it has no taste, but its less fattening that the drumstick? But i dont feel a diffrence between the breast and the drumstick, they all taste the same okay! still taste like chicken to me. I cant even tell the diffrence between pork and beef.

This diarrhea like substane is actually a yummy piece of chocolate pudding

And ice cream.. which i didnt like because it tasted like cheap ice cream.

RAINFEST DISAPPOINTMENT

Total epic failure.

I REMEMBER CLEARLY, after rainfest 08, we were all, OMG, OMGG I CANT WAIT FOR RAINFEST 09!! then we started to plan out everything, all the rooms and the bookings and i was so sure that i would go. Until the whole world got infected by Swine Flu. Amy and i didn't take of the rainfest wristbands for days.

AND WHAT AM I DOING HERE SITTING INFRONT OF THE COMPUTER NOT BEING AT RAINFEST ANYWAY!!? I feel so loserish. -.-

i'm currently in kl, at some eatery. Feeding on their free wifi. When i should be studying. Or rather looking at books.

Why is it that right this minute i'm looking at a menu, staring at the shark fin soup thing. Why is it that my mom wont let me have that?! So cheap somemore. Stacy said that we will be very happy. She owns a trailer in the woods and has a stack of firewood for the whole winter. We share a dream of having many more children.

In the meantime we will pray that science finds a cure for AIDS so Stacy can get better. She deserves it.

i hate how EVERYTIME i visit my pet on facebook [ superpoke pets] ITS ALWAYS COVERED IT POOP. ITS DISGUSTING, and i feel forced to clean it over and over again, [ look at the picture, there are even flies swarming around Tofu! And its got that really sad sad look on its face, and it wants to go play]
